what's going on

So...I meant to write a bunch of posts about New Orleans, and life in Austin, but at first it seemed like I had lots of time to do it, and now it seems like I have none. We've been in town the last few weeks, Dave working a LOT, me trying to work. It's been very hot, with lots of thunderstorms. We've had good friends visit, have continued to eat wonderful food, and have gotten down to the water a few times. Right now I'm starting to pack up the Annie house, as we need to be out of here by Thursday, when we leave for a long weekend in Portland (a wedding). After that, we're back in Austin for about 10 days, house-sitting for Laura and KJ, and then on the 14th we'll spend a week driving back to Portland, hoping to be home on the solstice.

I do, in fact, plan to update the blog, etc. it will just be in a somewhat backward way, and likely while I'm sitting in airports. More soon!
